A forum for the discussion of individual SaaS stocks and the investment philosophy surrounding SaaS stocks.
Forum rules
This board has rules. It’s not like other boards. If you don’t follow the rules your posts are likely to be deleted, and if necessary you may even get barred from the board. That’s just the way it is. Life is hard sometimes. This board is for the discussion and analyzing of individual SaaS growth stocks in a cooperative and courteous manner and, secondarily, the philosophy around investing in them. That means that there are subjects that are Off-Topic for this board. There’s nothing wrong with them as topics. There are other boards where they are welcome, or even the chief topic of conversation. These include politics which, however, quickly spins out of control and ends up with people who had been amiably working together discussing a stock, suddenly viciously arguing. Political posts will be immediately deleted. Investing subjects that are off topic include technical analysis and option trading subjects, including describing the details of your option positions, or value investing, or turn-around investing, or dividend or income investing, or market-timing, or what Investors Business Daily says the market is going to do next week, etc. All posts on these topics will be moved to the off-topic forum . Let’s all try to keep our board focused on analyzing and discussing SaaS stocks, and useful to us. We have created something great here and let’s not kill it with a lot of extraneous posts.

Is it finally time to buy SNOW stock

Post by technicalrise2 »

Snowflake Inc. is a truly extraordinary company, but there has been an issue up to this point about its valuation. But now, 7 months after its initial public offering, trading at around the same price point at which it opened for trading on the NYSE, with two quarterly earnings reports under its belt as a public company, it seems like its valuation compared to its projected long term earnings growth makes it not just a good deal but a GREAT deal.

I am not the only one who has noticed this unique confluence of factors: valuation, growth rate, market positioning.

Here's a an Article from 2 days ago on Seeking Alpha:

Time For A Second Look At Snowflake
Apr. 26, 2021 12:10 PM ETSnowflake Inc. (SNOW)AMZN, GOOG, GOOGL...
Summary
Snowflake was one of the most exciting IPOs in recent years, but valuation concerns have kept many investors on the sidelines.
It is time to take a second look: The company has two earnings reports in the bag, the lock-up period expired, and the stock has been halved from its highs.

And as this chart from Clouded Judgment shows the actual

In fact, as this chart also from Clouded Judgment, Snowflake Inc. could even be considered cheaper than the median growth company

Given Snowflake's unique competitive position, it's exceptional growth rate, and most importantly it's staggering MOAT, now seems like it is the time to finally be buying SNOW stock.
